Merry Messiahmas 2014

It was winter, and the Festival of the Dedication of the Temple was being celebrated in Jerusalem. Jesus was walking in Solomon’s Porch in the Temple, when the people gathered around him and asked, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? Tell us the plain truth: are you the Messiah?” - John 10:22, 24 TEV
Whether you spell it Hanukkah, Chanukah, call it the Feast of Dedication or the Festival of Light, Jesus/Yeshua celebrated 25 Kislev, not December 25. Not that we should ever forget the birth of Christ/Messiah or His resurrection on the Feast of Firstfruits, but standing in front of Pilate, before going to the cross, Jesus stated that it was for 'this reason’ He came into the world.
Why? God loves this world He created, wishes none would perish and all would come to repentance, by receiving His most precious gift, salvation, His Love, Joy, Peace on earth and good will towards all mankind. Like Mary, accept Him and like Joseph, obey Him and this will be the most memorable Christmas you have ever known. This is the gospel truth, the good news, so may God bless us, everyone!

“Do You Believe God?”

Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. I did not ask, “Do You Believe ‘In’ God?” From Genesis to Revelation, across America and around the world, there are countless people who “believe ‘in’ God.” Sometimes it’s with a small ‘g,’ since there are some three million gods worshiped in India alone and often it’s even through the preaching of ‘another Jesus,’ that we are deceived in our thinking, so Paul the Apostle warns us to test the spirits!
We’re talking about real faith here, clinging to, trusting in and relying on The One and Only Begotten Son Of God, Jesus Christ, Messiah, Who came to reconcile us unto The Father, giving us eternal, everlasting, abundant, resurrection Life, by imparting to us His Holy Spirit!
I started with Abraham, because he is our father of faith, according to the New Testament.
Before he became the father of many nations or the father of the multitudes, his name was Abram, who obviously believed ‘in’ God, but his life was drastically changed when he believed God, according to Holy Scripture.
Cain certainly believed ‘in’ God enough to bring Him a sacrifice from the works of his hands, but Able believed God and his lamb was found acceptable in God’s sight, so there must be a major difference, between just believing ‘in’ God and believing Him, taking Him at His Word, because the devil, demons, evil spirits and fallen angels believe ‘in’ God and they tremble!

“Do You Believe In Ghosts?”

I replied quickly to the question asked me, “No!," but realize that most people wrestle for a definitive answer. With all the hoopla, regarding Harry Potter & Halloween, let me clarify: The Bible has witches, ghosts, devils, walking dead, angels & demons, distinguishing between two kingdoms of darkness and light, where (from Strong’s Concordance) ‘ghost’ in Hebrew means to breathe out, expire - die, be dead or perish and in Greek; a current of air, breath, breeze, spirit, the rational soul, an angel, demon or (divine) God. Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit - life or mind.
What The Bible says:
I will put My Spirit in you that you may live. Ezekiel 37:14a
Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. Romans 8:9e
Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40

God’s Feasts for All?

The ULTIMATE Faith Column

In The Book of Hebrews, Chapter 11 is known as ‘The Great Hall of Faith,’ which highlights the ordinary men, women and children of God, who acted out their faith with extraordinary works (that were prepared for them to do, before the foundations of the earth were laid), on what William Shakespeare called “the worlds’ stage.” These Living Words, from Genesis to Revelation, were written down, as examples for us and ‘The Word,’ Who became flesh, Jesus, was sent, by The Father, to ‘show’ us ‘The Way,’ to “Go and do likewise!”
Now, OBVIOUSLY, we could not do such things or accomplish such tasks, without help from above, or else Jesus would have never had to come to this world, die for our sins on The Cross and be raised from the dead! Even the Apostles needed God’s Word, breathed upon by His Holy Spirit, in order to go forth and continue the work of the church. Not only do we see Jesus breathing on them, in The Gospel of John, commanding them to “Receive The Holy Spirit,” but even after that, telling them to wait in Jerusalem, until they receive The Power from on high, which enabled them to be 'witnesses’ of and for His Kingdom.
Read Hebrews, Chapter 11 for yourself, because you need to know and understand that they, without us, “should not be made perfect,” because we ALL must come in the unity of the faith, to obtain the fullness of Christ! - Ephesians 4:13.

‘There Is Nothing Insignificant In The Bible’

All Scripture is God breathed, according to Paul the Apostle, who wrote This Word to young Timothy and us, as The Holy Spirit moved upon him. If you take These Truths as Gospel, to be self evident and believe in Them, with all of your heart, mind, soul, spirit & strength, even in your weakness, God will show Himself Mighty! Oh, ‘I believe,’ most confessing Christians would claim, but Jesus Himself said, “If you love me, you will obey all of my commandments.” He Is The Word, Who became flesh and dwelt among us, He lived, moved and had His Being, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Words like ‘if’ and ‘in’ can prove to be extremely valuable, ‘if’ we will put them ‘in’ to ‘ACTIONS,’ which speak louder than empty spoke words. Even The Bible says, ‘The Letter Kills, but The Spirit Brings LIFE!' Faith without works is dead, saying one thing and doing another contradicts who we are and send mixed signals to a sick and dying world. Obedience to His Word, Will & Way, always brings God’s richest blessings, but disobedience brings correction, discipline or without repentance, possible death and His final judgement.
If My people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, Pray, Seek My Face, Turn from their wicked ways, then will I Hear from Heaven, Forgive their sin and Heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14

You can’t live with them, you can’t live without them. In New Mexico, nearly 20% of all registered voters vote independent. National figures are over 40% and it was the 30% in Virginia that just rocked the political world. What does this have to do with Christianity? As ‘believers,’ we are called to be salt & light in this world that we live in, be it government, media, education, church, family, military and the economy. The government rests on His shoulders, so yes, it does matter how we vote, be it local, state or national elections. Some of you might say, I’m not running a race, but the Apostle Paul says we are and we must endure to the end. Maybe in the political arena, you’re not interested in getting elected, but in God’s Kingdom you should be.
Who you are, what you do or say, where you live, move and have your being, when, why and how, all matter, every moment of every day, everywhere, be it at work, school, home or play & as the song goes, ‘God is watching us’ and so are others. We bring the essence of Christ everywhere we go. The Bible says to go into all the world, preach the good news of Jesus and occupy until He comes and He is coming again soon! All of us will be held accountable for things we did and did not do. Let’s do things biblically & constitutionally, for God’s best!

Will YOU Stand?

Where’s The Spirit of Noah, Daniel & Job in our day? How about the children like Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah? You may know them better as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. We serve The Same God, Yesterday, Today & Forever, He changes NOT! Jesus overcame the world, sin, death and He says we will do greater things than Him, be more than conquerors, through Christ Who strengthens us. Are we not to be living sacrifices, worshiping and serving Him?
We’re commanded to love our God, The Creator Of ALL, love our neighbor as ourself & Jesus tells us to love one another, ‘As I have Loved YOU.’ To obey is better than sacrifice and The Bible tells us that obedience always brings God’s Richest Blessings! Are you willing to take a true, biblical stand to receive it?
Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,

Most in ‘The Church’ agree God has a Biblical World View. His Word says His House shall be called a House of Prayer for All Nations, Peoples, Tribes & Tongues. Does that include you?
Have you started ‘your’ spiritual journey? New Mexico is a very ‘spiritual’ place, but we’re not just talking about any old, run of the mill ‘spirit’ here. I’m speaking about The Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit, The Spirit Of Christ, The Spirit Of Grace! There’s only One Lord, One God & One Spirit, that ultimately matters in this life and especially regarding eternity. If you don’t have This Spirit, you don’t have Life! He who does not have The Son does not have Life! Ever asked yourself, Do I have The Life Jesus talked about and have It Abundantly?
Going to church does not make you a ‘Christian,’ any more than going to McDonald’s makes you a hamburger or being in your garage makes you a car. Praying does not make you a 'Christian,’ there are many religions that pray, but if you want to have a right relationship with The Creator Of The Universes, Jesus says, 'I AM The Way, I AM The Truth, I AM The Life, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, But By Me!’ He told His followers, When you go to The Father 'In My Name’ and God’s Holy & Precious Word tells us 'There is no other Name under Heaven, by which we MUST BE SAVED!’

Look Unto Me

Thy Maker is thine husband, thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shall he be called. Is. 54:5
Thus saith the high and lofty One, that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I will dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, Is. 57:15a
I love Isaiah 6:1, where the prophet sees The Lord, high and lifted up, with the train (hem) of His Robe filling The Temple. Like Pilate, some of us can have Jesus right in front of us and still not know what or actually Who Truth Is. He Is The Same, Yesterday, Today & Forever, according to Hebrews and The Bible says, I AM GOD, I change not! If we believe, All men are created equal, endowed by their Creator, we should be more accepting of this biblical truth.
We, The Church, are the bride of Christ. What is God’s plan and purpose? To revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Is. 57:15b Obviously, the key word here is 'REVIVE!’ This is Good News, for those who have ears to hear what The Spirit Of The Lord is saying to The Church, so 'Today,’ if you hear His Voice, harden not your heart, but believe and receive the fullness of the promises of God, that are yes and amen In Christ Jesus!

Faith Column:
30, 60, 100 Or 1000?

Now that I have your attention... There are some of you who know all about the 30, 60 or 100 fold ROI (return on investment), which is usually how preachers talk about Jesus’ teachings, out of The Gospel According To Matthew, Chapter 18 and The Good News Of Mark 4, sowing, reaping, seedtime and harvest. Well, I would like to look at these numbers from a somewhat different perspective, since it’s a New Year 2014, some of you have made resolutions about your finances, weight loss, exercise, relationships, spirituality or the like, so here we go. The Book of Hebrews tells us that the New Covenant, Matthew-Revelation, was ratified by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, that It is a ‘Better’ Covenant and that all of God’s Precious Promises Are Yes & Amen In Christ Jesus, so why is it that so many 'confessing’ Christians of our day are still arguing about which foods to eat or what days and times we should assemble and worship, when Paul tells young Timothy (and us) that all scripture is God breathed and Jesus says that He did not come to abolish The Law, but to fulfill It. Surely no one person could solve all of our problems in one newspaper article, but we must start somewhere, so let it be here and now.
Before the Nation of Israel entered The Promised Land, God gave to Moses, ‘Deuteronomy,’ which is the second giving of The Law. In Chapter 1, verse 11, we read:
“May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand-fold more than you are and bless you, just as He has promised you!” - NAS
If we have a ‘Better’ Covenant and The Holy Spirit tells us ‘ALL’ Scripture is God Breathed, what does this Old Covenant Scripture mean for us today? Hebrews tells us that Jesus Christ is ‘The Same,’ Yesterday, ‘Today’ & Forever and that The Word Of God (Which or should I say Who Jesus is) is alive and active, cutting to the bone and the marrow. Some will debate about biblical dispensation (God’s economy) or say that the Old Testament does not apply to us today, but I say unto you, “Believe God, take Him at His Word, which He says is Spirit, Truth & Life!”
My point of all this is to get you to think and act differently. Don’t just take everyone else at their word, but search the scriptures daily for yourself, challenge the status quo and be obedient to any and all things that God’s Holy Spirit leads and guides you to. Why would we settle for 30, 60 or 100 return, as New Covenant Christians, when the Old Covenant brought a 1000 fold increase? I challenge us all this year to trust and obey The Word, Will & Way Of God, because He is Faithful & True! Obedience always bring God’s Blessing, so let’s press onward and upward, in unity of Spirit & purpose to reap the harvest, In Jesus’ Holy & Precious Name.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2014

From the very first book of The Bible, God promised a son to Adam and Eve. He said to the serpent, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”- Genesis 3:15. The Lord promised Abram (our Father Of Faith), “and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”- Genesis 12:3b. Isaiah prophesied, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (with man is God).”- Isaiah 7:14b.
Jesus was a descendant of Isaac & Jacob, as foretold in Genesis 17:19 -”And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac (Laughter); and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him,” and Numbers 24:17- “I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not nigh; there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.” “But thou, Beth-lehem (House Of Bread) Ephratha, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah (Praise), yet out of thee shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”- Micah 5:2, told us where Messiah was to be born. Matthew 2:13-15 confirms Jesus was called out of Egypt, according to Hosea 11:1.
Luke 3:33 fulfilled the prophecy of Gen. 49:10, that Jesus is (The Lion) of the tribe of Judah and Luke 2:25-27, Malachi 3:1, which is important because the temple was destroyed in A.D. 70 and was never rebuilt. Jeremiah 23:5 states, “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth,” which tells us that Jesus would be from the lineage of King David (Matthew 1:6).
Confirmation of Jeremiah 31:15, is found in Matthew 2:16, that Jesus’ birth will be accompanied with great suffering and sorrow. Jesus lived a perfect life, died by crucifixion, was resurrected from death, ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of The Father (interceeding on our behalf), as prophesied in Psalms 22:16, 16:10, 63:18, 110:1 & Isaiah 53:10 and fulfilled in 1 Peter 2:21-22, Luke 23:33, Acts 2:25-31; 1:9 & Hebrews 1:3. As sure as God promised and kept His Word, all of God’s promises are yes and amen, for those of us in Christ Jesus, because He changes not. His Word will always go forth and accomplish what He wills! The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Believe & receive Him for your best Christmas ever, a Happy New Year 2014 and eternal, everlasting, abundant, resurrection LIFE In Jesus, The Reason for The Season + He’s Coming Again SOON (Revelation 22:20-21), MARANATHA!

What do you say, Happy Bird-Day, Light A Candle, Gobble Tov, Happy Thanksgiving, Hanukkah or Thanksgivukkah? The last time this happened was 1888, since Thanksgiving was declared a federal holiday by President Lincoln in 1863, which was celebrated the last Thursday of November, until President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a joint resolution of Congress fixing it as the fourth Thursday, starting in 1942. Primarily an American holiday, the roots of Thanksgiving go back to The Bible. It’s believed that the Pilgrims/the Puritans celebrated the Biblical Feast of Tabernacles (found in both the Old & New Testament), which was a celebration of thanksgiving to God for the fall harvest, His provision and coming to 'dwell’ among us as His Chosen People, but not Christmas! In wanting to remain true to The Word Of God, they debated about having Hebrew, as the official language of the newly formed colonies. In the 1700‘s, Ben Franklin argued for the turkey to be our national bird and not the bald eagle. Most in New Mexico know of Albuquerque Turkey, but did you know that there’s an actual Ten Commandments Rock, located just south of ABQ? What does this mean to you and me today?Are you a Christian, a believer, a disciple, a 'follower of Christ?’
Jesus celebrated Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication, the Festival of Lights! In The Gospel of John 10:22, 23 we read: “At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon.” It was at this time and place that Jesus revealed, “I and the Father Are One.” They were willing to stone Him to death, because He told them that He was The Christ and they understood that He was making Himself out to be God! He proclaimed, 'I Am The Light of The World’ and also that we are the light of the world. In this present darkness, The Bible says that light shines best in the darkness, so arise and shine, because your light has come and the Glory of The Lord is risen upon you! He commanded us, 'Let Your Light Shine!’ To do anything otherwise would be disobedient to Him and the gift and call that He has placed in us, so as you gather around your Thanksgiving dinner table this holiday season and light your candles, don’t forget to thank God for His Faithfulness, the blessings of friends/family and whatever the future brings, come to experientially know and understand that ALL of God’s Promises Are YES & AMEN In Christ Jesus and always remember that God Is Faithful & Jesus NEVER Fails!
Most of you I’m sure have never read The Maccabees, but imagine Judah roasting a turkey and passing the potatoes to Squanto. In America we still find moments when the secular/religious meet and can really celebrate that convergence. This year the lunisolar nature of the Jewish calendar (God’s Biblical Calendar) and the Gregorian calendar meet in a way that you and I will certainly never see again in this lifetime, so get in some practice time while you can, you will be thankful you did.

No man knows the day or the hour of Jesus’ second coming, but The Word Of God tells us, It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment. Are you ready? The Apostle John says, I write these things that you may know that you have eternal life. Do you know? Paul the Apostle says, I know Whom I have Believed In and am persuaded that He Is Able to keep that, which I have committed unto Him against that day. The Hymnist wrote, Blessed Assurance Jesus Is Mine! Do you have That? He who has The Son has life, but he who does not have The Son, does not have life. Jesus came, so that we would have life and have it abundantly! Will you join us? God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! He works all things together for good, to those who love Him and are called, according to His purposes. Will YOU Stand?

Where’s The Spirit of Noah, Daniel & Job in our day? How about the children like Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah? You may know them better as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. We serve The Same God, Yesterday, Today & Forever, He changes NOT! Jesus overcame the world, sin, death and He says we will do greater things than Him, be more than conquerors, through Christ Who strengthens us. Are we not to be living sacrifices, worshiping and serving Him?
We’re commanded to love our God, The Creator Of ALL, love our neighbor as ourself & Jesus tells us to love one another, ‘As I have Loved YOU.’ To obey is better than sacrifice and The Bible tells us that obedience always brings God’s Richest Blessings! Are you willing to take a true, biblical stand to receive it?
Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,

Most in ‘The Church’ agree God has a Biblical World View. His Word says His House shall be called a House of Prayer for All Nations, Peoples, Tribes & Tongues. Does that include you?
Have you started ‘your’ spiritual journey? New Mexico is a very ‘spiritual’ place, but we’re not just talking about any old, run of the mill ‘spirit’ here. I’m speaking about The Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit, The Spirit Of Christ, The Spirit Of Grace! There’s only One Lord, One God & One Spirit, that ultimately matters in this life and especially regarding eternity. If you don’t have This Spirit, you don’t have Life! He who does not have The Son does not have Life! Ever asked yourself, Do I have The Life Jesus talked about and have It Abundantly?
Going to church does not make you a ‘Christian,’ any more than going to McDonald’s makes you a hamburger or being in your garage makes you a car. Praying does not make you a 'Christian,’ there are many religions that pray, but if you want to have a right relationship with The Creator Of The Universes, Jesus says, 'I AM The Way, I AM The Truth, I AM The Life, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, But By Me!’ He told His followers, When you go to The Father 'In My Name’ and God’s Holy & Precious Word tells us 'There is no other Name under Heaven, by which we MUST BE SAVED!’

Look Unto Me

Thy Maker is thine husband, thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shall he be called. Is. 54:5
Thus saith the high and lofty One, that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I will dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, Is. 57:15a
I love Isaiah 6:1, where the prophet sees The Lord, high and lifted up, with the train (hem) of His Robe filling The Temple. Like Pilate, some of us can have Jesus right in front of us and still not know what or actually Who Truth Is. He Is The Same, Yesterday, Today & Forever, according to Hebrews and The Bible says, I AM GOD, I change not! If we believe, All men are created equal, endowed by their Creator, we should be more accepting of this biblical truth.
We, The Church, are the bride of Christ. What is God’s plan and purpose? To revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Is. 57:15b Obviously, the key word here is 'REVIVE!’ This is Good News, for those who have ears to hear what The Spirit Of The Lord is saying to The Church, so 'Today,’ if you hear His Voice, harden not your heart, but believe and receive the fullness of the promises of God, that are yes and amen In Christ Jesus!

Faith Column:
30, 60, 100 Or 1000?

Now that I have your attention... There are some of you who know all about the 30, 60 or 100 fold ROI (return on investment), which is usually how preachers talk about Jesus’ teachings, out of The Gospel According To Matthew, Chapter 18 and The Good News Of Mark 4, sowing, reaping, seedtime and harvest. Well, I would like to look at these numbers from a somewhat different perspective, since it’s a New Year 2014, some of you have made resolutions about your finances, weight loss, exercise, relationships, spirituality or the like, so here we go. The Book of Hebrews tells us that the New Covenant, Matthew-Revelation, was ratified by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, that It is a ‘Better’ Covenant and that all of God’s Precious Promises Are Yes & Amen In Christ Jesus, so why is it that so many 'confessing’ Christians of our day are still arguing about which foods to eat or what days and times we should assemble and worship, when Paul tells young Timothy (and us) that all scripture is God breathed and Jesus says that He did not come to abolish The Law, but to fulfill It. Surely no one person could solve all of our problems in one newspaper article, but we must start somewhere, so let it be here and now.
Before the Nation of Israel entered The Promised Land, God gave to Moses, ‘Deuteronomy,’ which is the second giving of The Law. In Chapter 1, verse 11, we read:
“May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand-fold more than you are and bless you, just as He has promised you!” - NAS
If we have a ‘Better’ Covenant and The Holy Spirit tells us ‘ALL’ Scripture is God Breathed, what does this Old Covenant Scripture mean for us today? Hebrews tells us that Jesus Christ is ‘The Same,’ Yesterday, ‘Today’ & Forever and that The Word Of God (Which or should I say Who Jesus is) is alive and active, cutting to the bone and the marrow. Some will debate about biblical dispensation (God’s economy) or say that the Old Testament does not apply to us today, but I say unto you, “Believe God, take Him at His Word, which He says is Spirit, Truth & Life!”
My point of all this is to get you to think and act differently. Don’t just take everyone else at their word, but search the scriptures daily for yourself, challenge the status quo and be obedient to any and all things that God’s Holy Spirit leads and guides you to. Why would we settle for 30, 60 or 100 return, as New Covenant Christians, when the Old Covenant brought a 1000 fold increase? I challenge us all this year to trust and obey The Word, Will & Way Of God, because He is Faithful & True! Obedience always bring God’s Blessing, so let’s press onward and upward, in unity of Spirit & purpose to reap the harvest, In Jesus’ Holy & Precious Name.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2014

From the very first book of The Bible, God promised a son to Adam and Eve. He said to the serpent, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”- Genesis 3:15. The Lord promised Abram (our Father Of Faith), “and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”- Genesis 12:3b. Isaiah prophesied, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (with man is God).”- Isaiah 7:14b.
Jesus was a descendant of Isaac & Jacob, as foretold in Genesis 17:19 -”And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac (Laughter); and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him,” and Numbers 24:17- “I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not nigh; there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.” “But thou, Beth-lehem (House Of Bread) Ephratha, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah (Praise), yet out of thee shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”- Micah 5:2, told us where Messiah was to be born. Matthew 2:13-15 confirms Jesus was called out of Egypt, according to Hosea 11:1.
Luke 3:33 fulfilled the prophecy of Gen. 49:10, that Jesus is (The Lion) of the tribe of Judah and Luke 2:25-27, Malachi 3:1, which is important because the temple was destroyed in A.D. 70 and was never rebuilt. Jeremiah 23:5 states, “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth,” which tells us that Jesus would be from the lineage of King David (Matthew 1:6).
Confirmation of Jeremiah 31:15, is found in Matthew 2:16, that Jesus’ birth will be accompanied with great suffering and sorrow. Jesus lived a perfect life, died by crucifixion, was resurrected from death, ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of The Father (interceeding on our behalf), as prophesied in Psalms 22:16, 16:10, 63:18, 110:1 & Isaiah 53:10 and fulfilled in 1 Peter 2:21-22, Luke 23:33, Acts 2:25-31; 1:9 & Hebrews 1:3. As sure as God promised and kept His Word, all of God’s promises are yes and amen, for those of us in Christ Jesus, because He changes not. His Word will always go forth and accomplish what He wills! The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Believe & receive Him for your best Christmas ever, a Happy New Year 2014 and eternal, everlasting, abundant, resurrection LIFE In Jesus, The Reason for The Season + He’s Coming Again SOON (Revelation 22:20-21), MARANATHA!
