Of course The Bible tells us to take no thought for tomorrow, since today has enough worries of its own, but It also tells us not to worry at all, because worrying will choke The Fruit of God’s Spirit, so what’s the right attitude to take?
It’s easy to say the words, Trust in The Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight. How does He actually do it? Certainly not by our own might or power, but by My Spirit says The Lord! Jesus says He’s The Straight & Narrow Way, the ONLY Way to The Father. He tells us that His Word Is Spirit & Life and if we LOVE HIM, with ALL of our heart, mind, soul, spirit and strength, we will obey His Commandments. Paul the Apostle tells us in his letter to The Church of Corinth, 'Jesus Is The Wisdom & Power Of God.’ I suppose, 'Oh well, I guess I will just hope for the best and take my chances, let the chips fall where they may,’ will not cut it in this life and that type of approach in this world we live in will certainly not assure you a place in God’s Eternal Heaven. Yes, Heaven is an actual place and there are certain standards to live there (after all it is a ‘gated community’). Jesus Himself declared that He came down from God out of Heaven, which is probably just one of the reasons best selling author and speaker Josh McDowell has said, ‘Jesus is either a liar, a lunatic or LORD.’ Lord of what? Lord Of ALL, so that probably includes the Grants/Milan area of Cibola County, the State of New Mexico, these United States Of America, the entire western hemisphere and yes, even the world that God The Father Loved so much, He sent us His One & Only Begotten Son. The Word Of God tells us that Jesus Is The Desire Of ALL Nations and that someday (in the very near future) EVERY knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ Is Lord Of ALL! I’m no English Major, but the word ‘all,’ seems to denote ALL. So, what then shall we do? Be Perfect! Yes, that’s what God requires of us, but He does not leave us high and dry or out on a limb, to work that out on our own. He actually accomplished it ‘ALL’ through the life, death and resurrection of His Son, who fulfilled ALL Righteousness and for those who receive this Truth, He gives His Holy Spirit and the ability to overcome sin and death, because we are washed in The Blood Of The Lamb! In May we blew the shofar and prayed over our area from the top of Mount Taylor, joining people from CA to VA and we celebrate the birth of Israel, which happened in 1948. Graduations are upon us and summer is ushered in on Memorial Day, but God does not take vacations, He Who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, so we should take heed to His Word in Matthew 24:32, 33 - ‘Now learn the parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.’
