<blockquote>“Cowardice asks the question is it safe? Expediency asks the question is it politically correct? Vanity asks the question is it popular? But conscience asks the question is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politically correct, nor popular but one must take it because it is right"

This past Wednesday-Friday, New Life City Church of Albuquerque, Victory Church Of God & the Church Of Christ in Grants, along with Zion & the Cowboy Church of Milan and the Church Of God from Thoreau, New Mexico, gathered together for a Youth Rally, with all ages of people, from many different tribes and tongues. According to Psalm 133, when God’s people come together in the unity of spirit and purpose, He commands His blessing and He did. Across denominational lines, age gaps and cultural differences, the body of believers in Cibola County came together as one in the Holy Spirit, many members, one body, with one head, The Lord Jesus Christ!
Chuck Elmore, head of New Life City Youth, did worship, taught on healing prayer ministry the first night and we reaped what we soed, with people giving testimonies of healings. The next day, they did a work project, went door to door, bringing packages of fruit, praying for peoples needs and Josh K. did a prophetic ministry training that evening. Words were given and people in attendance said, they clearly heard a word from God. Last, but not least, Friday the team went to a local nursing home to visit folks and the evening consisted of a Treasure Hunt, which entailed going out, into the community, speaking and praying for people they found, with follow-up testimonies when they returned.
We are Christians. We believe in the Biblical birth, life, death, resurrection and return of Jesus of Nazareth. We believe with all that is in us that He is man-kinds only hope for salvation. In a society where cultures are embraced and celebrated, we celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ, His extravagant love displayed by His work on the cross and His fierce & redeeming love displayed in the empty tomb. This is our culture. And we will be counted as being His.
There are many of us. We number more than those who have occupied Wall Street and more than those who bash our culture in the media.
As a symbol of who we are, we ask each person, couple, and family who is committed to following Him to place a cross on their front lawn. Not as a statement against anything, but as a statement for Jesus.
This Sunday, the ‘Cross Culture’ television program with Haskell Hallmark and me, started airing in Grants on Comcast, Channel 10 at 9:30am and Wednesday, people can view it in Gallup on Comcast, Channel 21 at 7pm (those living in Rio Rancho can see us Sundays on Cable One, Channel 22 at 12:30pm) or you can find them on YouTube, so we hope you will join us around N.M., to take the love of God and the Good News of Jesus to ALL Nations, Peoples, Tribes & Tongues! http://victorychurchofgod.weebly.com
